I wanted one of those fancy rail systems for my DSLR camera so I can do some more video work with my band. Turns out they cost a LOT of money, and I'm not down with spending a lot of money (especially when I can make all the parts myself and have the same thing - only better) :)

Please check out my latest version of the DSLR Rail System here!

For the Follow Focus I used Marcus Wolschon's off of Thingiverse and I designed a few parts myself (like the matte box holder and mic holder, and camera riser)

For rails I am using 5/8" wooden dowels, so all of the parts I made had to be altered to fit (the standard is 15mm) so for the parts I didn't design I just drilled it out with a 5/8" forster bit, and for teh parts I did design they were designed with 5/8" holes (although I still had to drill them out a bit too)

Without further ado, here are the pictures :) and I will be putting up some DIY DSLR files in my downloads section with the STLs of the parts I designed - I will probably redesign everything to my new 5/8" rails as the "standard" ;)
